The TV series "Polygon" covers the events which led to the closure of the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site in the late 80s of the ХХ century. During this period epochal  events took place all over the world, radically changing the usual course of life of many millions of people. For Kazakhstan, which was on the threshold of its independence, the decision to stop nuclear tests was a particularly significant historical milestone. But this decision did not happen in a moment.
